I have a 2nd gen Glock 20 and it has served me well. To make it a bit cheaper to shoot, I got a complete G21 slide and two mags from a buddy for $200. Now I use it to shoot .45. I love it.
Owning and shooting the 10mm, I think that an all steel pistol in 10mm would be a better choice.sigpicComment

10mm can be a full blown hand cannon or a mild 40s&w equivelent. The most versatile auto round available. You can hunt, self defense, and do all kinds of competition with it. 10mm is the best.Comment

Just picked up my G29SF on Friday, haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but I can't wait. I picked up a couple of boxes of Armscore 10mm but will soon try to buy some of the hotter stuff online.Comment

That is one reason I am kinda glad that while my G21 slide has the tennifer finish, the G20 slide has the new nitride finish. Just one more way to tell them apart. I trust you weren't hurt in any way?"All bad precedents began as justifiable measures." Julius CaesarComment

Not hurt beyond the embarrassment. It was one of those energetic days when I went out with one of my G20sf's, G29sf, G21 slide assembly, a few different length aftermarket and conversion barrels, a whole bunch of different hot 10mm and 45 Super loads I wanted to chronograph. Kind of an eyes bigger than your stomach thing.
Along the way I got the G21 slide on the G20sf frame loaded up with a single round 10mm in the 20 mag (I always load 1 first with a new load, or a new batch of a known load).
When I pulled the trigger, it kind of went pfffttt. The bullet went down range but I never saw an impact but got what looked like an low error reading on the chrono. The case failed to extract and after I got the slide back, that was what fell out. It took a few minutes of just staring at it and thinking before it dawned on me what happened. I looked down at the table full of various bags of hot loads of different calibers, barrels, slides, etc. and realized I had bitten off too much for that day.
