I'm really considering picking up a G20 SF. I currently have a G19 Gen4 and G43 and I want something for carrying in the woods. Heck I might even use it for HD. Is it worth it at $650?

After getting a good price on a used G21SF, I picked up a Lone Wolf longslide and 6" barrel in 10mm, as well as reloading dies and supplies. Liked it enough that I also picked up a G20SF as well as a Lone Wolf 9" barrel. The load I settled on uses Longshot to launch a 180 grain bullet 1260 FPS out of the factory G20SF barrel.
Got to handle a G40 MOS the other day. It felt nose-heavy (my longslide has a cut-out) but the ability to take an optic is pretty cool. The owner was shooting SIG factory 10mm ammo and the info on the box says 180 grain FMJ at 1250 FPS. I doubt that velocity number is accurate, however. He offered to let me shoot it but I declined since that factory ammo didn't seem too powerful and might be costly to replace. It didn't seem to hit the steel plates that hard.
BTW I jokingly refer to the cartridge as the "one centimeter" to rub it in when my friends are shooting 9mm Luger

I went with the Target first solely for the rear adjustable sight, but have every intention of picking up a eclipse this year unless used or other harder to find gems continue to steal funds away!10mm NutComment

I took my G30 and converted to 10mm using a Lone Wolf barrel. I also have a Para Ordanance P-16 converted to 10mm custom work done by Will Ohara in Corona area. Picked up this piece from a CG'er.
P-16 is smooth as butter.
G30 is a hand full but great shooter.Comment

For you guys w long slides, does it make it more "shootable" than the standard length? I've been considering a lone wolf slide since I can't get a factory glock long slide.[/QUOTE]
I use the 21 or 22 lb flat spring and Lone wolf long slide. IThis os probably one of the best mods I have ever made on a firearm. It is one of the most controlable and accurate pistols I have shot. Everyone whos shoots it loves it. And it still eats everything grain and power level of ammo.Comment

I have a 10mm Kimber Eclipse in jail right now. I chose it over the Stainless Target because... well I already have a stainless Kimber in 45ACP.
This would be my first 10mm gun. I've shot a friend's 10mm Glock 20 once, and I thought it was pretty nifty.
Heck I've even loaded up about 50 rounds of 10mm to test once its out of jail.Comment

Mine also has the cut out. This is very interesting to know.Comment

I am enjoying that glock 20 i bought from you too.All set up on the reloading too already made some full power loads that tested well.
Bought a 10mm for a camp outdoors gun hard package to beat for those needs and i still prefer my 1911 for hd or target but the 10mm definitely has its place in my collection for sure.Comment
