I remember someone here shooting themselves in the leg. Don't remember the gun model or brand though.

Perhaps this is the guy who moved to the dark side and started training with glocks. I wonder if his first name starts with a T.

            Words to live by.

I love Glocks, but I'm not an idiot. Whether your gun has an external safety or not, you NEED to be VERY deliberate about holstering your weapon. Each time I holster, I do it very slowly and carefully, while watching it with my eyes. After all, there's never any reason someone should ever need to holster a weapon quickly.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

It could still happen... decocking it doesn't mean you can be less careful about holstering your weapon.

Are these AD's the result of negligent practice of technical malfunction. I remember seeing an old article about this being an issue with 45 caliber Glocks . . anyone want to share more information this?

But but but but kalifornia has said glocks are safe pistols. Am I to believe now that safety is a function of user not mechanical devices on said pistol?

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

                        Yes. It was a Glock.

I believe that was a Kimber. Probably not one of the rusty ones.

They are a result of negligence or stupidity. The problem with stupid people is they don't know they are stupid (see my lower signature line). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunnin...3Kruger_effect

All Glock pistols are basically the same. Caliber makes no difference - unless stupid people are ore inclined to buy 45 cal pistols.

A few months ago, a fellow at a CA gun range bent over to pick up something from the ground. His holstered pistol discharged, shooting a round into his leg. It seemed that his shirttail was entangled with the trigger of his pistol. A Glock, or some striker-fired pistol. For me, it's SAO forever. As I recall, the fellow was an instructor.

I remember a post a few years back of a Calgunner who if I remember correctly was cleaning his 1911 in his basement and shot a 230gr HP into his leg- had pics after back from hospital and believe went through and through one leg and into other leg as well or something like that- I still remember the pics after returning from hospital and really gruesome.

This thread is why I will never purchase a blackhawk serpa holster...the black hawk epoch holster is way safer to use. you use your thumb to disengage the holster safety system not your trigger finger.
