    Dupe.

( & You missed it by quite a few hours.)

I don't mind so much because I am the original poster of the other thread but do you know a just a very quick search ( for words like Ruger, etc.) will tell you if this is already being talked about here and Calguns on someone else's thread.
where you could contribute your comment.

I'm just messing with you, I guess in a way we need as many new threads as we can get rolling.

Wow..that palm swell sure looks ergonomic? Wow..an affordable gun UNTIL you add the "it's off roster" CA surcharge?

CA roster is a definite KILL JOY.

Am I the only one who thought...oh, no...another thread on a new gun I can't have...only to click and found out...whew...DO NOT WANT?

Still getting over 2014 missed the Wilson Beretta and Arsenal Strike One...2015 Sig Legion.
      ^^^ Yeah that.

Does look like a hi point if you just glance at it (not a good selling point).

Price point will be around XD and polymer Sig so we'll see if it measures up.

About a minute in, he says that this new pistol will be replacing the SR series of pistols...so this apparently is Ruger's flagship.

If you live in Free America...why wouldn't you opt for a HK VP9 or a Walther PPQ for similar cost?

Glad to see Ruger keeping to the P series tradition of UGLY.

Completly wrong - Ruger tries to find ways to build their product cheaper. They brought out a new easier/cheaper to produce Red Label shotgun this year. They had so many problems they pulled it off the market in less than 6 months. I wouldn't buy any Ruger made since 2010. The bean counters are running the place now and there is no longer a happy well qualified work force. They killed the company retirement plan and have laid off employees.

The e-mail I got from Ruger today said the srp will be $579.00. What do you think the real in the store price would be? What is the srp for a Glock G-19? They will have a rough road if they can't at least match or beat Glock prices. JMO

                    srp= suggested retail price

It'll be under $450 in free America.

How many companies even have a retirement plan any more? Not many. At least they're an American company, building guns in America with American parts. (Not assembling foreign parts like Springfield or opening up a token US presence like Glock)
I've bought 3 Rugers made since 2010, and I have not one bad thing to say about any of them (GP100, 22/45 MkIII and Single Six)

You pulled this info from where? Why does it matter if they have a retirement plan as long as they pay the workers well? Also I bought a MKIII, GP 100 and a GP 100 Match Champ and all have zero issues and I shoot 1000s of rounds though all these guns.
