I thought guns were just a tool.

      I like it.
I never had a problem with Ruger.
Should be a winner if the trigger and price is right.

I'm glad it doesn't. I have no need for a external safety. Also glad it doesn't have finger grooves.

Sturm, Ruger & Co.appears to be set to release a brand new handgun for SHOT Show 2016.An FFL on Facebook apparently received the new gun ahead of Ruger’s announcement, most likely scheduled for the NSSF Shot Show.

(Again, the talk at the time was a 6 round max mag capacity for all guns...the same as revolvers...far worse than a 15 round proposal).

CA did their own thing with 10+ mag and AW restrictions / bans starting in 2000.
          Bill Ruger was not involved.

As usual, Ruger is late to the party and ahhhhh... clearly not an innovator but continues its long tradition of being a rather CHEAP imitator. And I for one WILL NEVER support any company using the name "Ruger".

It's on their website with a MSRP of $579. So maybe 500 bucks

So, basic differences 'twixt the SR series are no manual safety, changeable grip, and types of aftermarket sights it will accept. meh. Lemme know if it shoots tiny groups for 10,000 rounds while submerged in mud or sumthin.
I meant, it is my opinion that...

I never thought I would see a $1000 dollar Ruger semi auto. CA will make that happen in the classifieds soon enough

                    Just kidding!

I think it looks pretty good. Ugly sort of how glock are ugly only uglier so in time we'll probably grow to like them. I'm just being positive about the ugliness!

I'll bet you're not a gunsmith. Glocks are ok for a cheap service pistol but they are a thousand miles from perfect.

If you don't "need" the safety you aren't required to use it. Just nice to have a manual sear-blocking safety if you want to use it.

I'm still in shock from the ad I saw a few days ago where somebody was selling a Valtro 1911 for $15,000.

No, I am not kidding and no that's not a typo. $15,000

Not bad. Looks like Ruger did their homework. Definitely like the shape of the grip, mag release and the front strap. It would be a plus if it had magazine compatibility with existing Ruger pistols.

Agree with the other poster, looks better than the Beretta APX (and I like Beretta's)

NO, they copied everyone elses homework as usual... just made it cheaper and clunkier.
