    Colt Python Poll

I've heard that there are a lot of Colt Pythons out in the general public. Are they not as rare as people believe?

Certain models are rare, certain barrel lengths are rare. But it was in production for a loooooooong time, and there are a LOT of standard 4", 6", 8" blued and stainless Pythons in the world. LOTS!

The python itself is not rare, certain variants are rare and finding an older one in pristine condition is hard

Some variants are rare. The fact that production has ceased makes the number of Pythons finite, but they are not rare. Look in the marketplace here and on Gun Broker and you will see a number of them for sale.

Manurhin and Korth revolvers are rare in the US, and probably in many parts of the world. S&W Registered Magnum revolvers are rare. The Python is not.

Before Colt started adding letter prefixes/suffixes to their serial numbers
there were 100,000 produced up to about 1970. Pete

Yea, I agree that the poll is too limited. I have heard good things about Colt Pythons but never owned one. I have mostly S&W revolvers. Having one is not on the top of my list nor is it a must bucket list item.

Also in the NO don't own one, & I don't see them as worth the price most ask, for a safe queen, as that is what it be for me.

Shooting the value out of a gun is nuts, & i shoot my guns, so makes no sense.

My poll is a very simple Yes or No poll.

I didn't want to include all the other wheel guns nor do I want to know why you would never purchase one.

                              I should have polled:
                              Yes, one or more
                              No, don't have any.
