I have to pipe in for Dean here. He related his experiences and it seems he was treated with disrespect by the owner of Alquist Arms. I too would have been put off by that type of behavior. Many gunshops/employees seem to have attitude problems. Perhaps Dean's personal experience there was a 1 in 1,000 exception to the rule, but this thread was asking about people's input and he gave his. Dean said nothing out of line that I can see. I think the attacks against Dean in this thread are unfounded. Many others in this thread haven't been happy with the store either.
Dean, thank you for sharing your experiences here. If I'm in the area, I would still give Alquist a chance and visit their store. But I will be on guard. I would still determine for myself if they are OK to deal with or not for my hard earned money. At the very least, I would hope that Dean's posts will cause the owner to be more careful about embarrassing a customer. So perhaps some good will come of his posts.
