If you are shooting 6 inches low with the Glocks it's because your sight alignment or trigger control is bad.
Coming from shooting Beretta 92s and 1911s when I was growing up it took a little bit of slow, methodical holster draw work before I could reliably line up the sights as part of my draw. Looking back at it now, the Glock seems to point much more naturally than other pistols.Calguns.net, where everyone responding to your post is a Navy Force Delta Recon 6 Sniperator.Comment

This grip angle gripe springs from all those XD ads when the gun was first marketed by Springfield. Before the XD, there were no ads extolling the grip angle of any handgun, and noone said much about it because the grip angle makes very little difference in handguns in production. After the XD ads came out, people started parroting the ads and talking about grip angle. If the OP can't shoot a glock well, it's not because of the grip angle. I have many handguns, and they don't all have the same grip angle, but I can shoot them all well enough to hit the target at 15 yards. Maybe the OP just needs to learn fundamentals of marksmanship instead of blaming grip angle and parroting the Springfield xd ads.Comment

So we're talking 6" groups
That combined with this:
...would tell me that it is indeed an operator error.6 inches low. 5, 10, 15 yds, doesn't matter.
If you just want to prove it to yourself, shoot the gun over a solid rest and report back on where the shots are striking.
I'd venture to guess that any error in shot placement is smaller than your ability to hold a group of shots...because the journey is the worthier part...The Shepherd's TaleComment

While the above sounds reasonable on it's face, it is actually flawed reasoning.
Otherwise how would you explain the almost vertical magazine of the H&K P7 being used with a similar grip angle of the Glock...because the journey is the worthier part...The Shepherd's TaleComment

An ergonomic single stack with a 1911 grip angle would be intriguing.Comment

When you say shoot out the center what is the group size?Decent groupings. With my Sigs, I can shoot out the center consistently. Shield is a bit more work but I hit where I want. The Browning is a Buckmark with a red dot on it and I can hit Coke can sized plates at 50 yds. Frighteningly accurate. I get behind a Glock and man, horrible.

I have guns with all different grip angles and I honestly don't notice the difference when shooting them at all.Comment

I wouldn't try and force yourself to like Glocks. I have nothing against them and like you, I wish I shot them better cause then I'd definitely own a few. But I bought a gen 3 Glock 17 5 yrs ago and just was not nearly as accurate as my other 9mm's. instead of spending thousands of rounds to learn how to shoot it well, no reason w all the options out there can't find something shoot better right out of the box. For 9mm's, I shot my Beretta 92 better than I could have imagined first time took it to the range, so now I own 2. For striker fired, I found I shot the S&W M&P better out of the box as well so own a few of those now.
As far as the legendary Glock reliability , which I'm not doubting that they're reliable and can take a beating, I've never had any issues w any of the semis I own, and that includes 5 1911's.Comment
