My highest mileage gun has got about 2300 rounds through my year old, non ca p226, and I've put every type of junk ammo into it that I could get including wolf steel cases. Granted I clean it after every range trip, but it's never once failed to send a round down range. You couldn't pry that gun from my cold, dead hands.

OP, not sure what you are looking for, gun longevity possibility?

When I owned a gunshop/indoor shooting range, I had a case full of range rental guns. Usually kept 40 plus guns for rent. I had a Smith & Wesson 686 with aimpoint sight that was in the rental case for over 15 years. Never had a single problem with it, never needed repair. Most of the guns I would change out after about a year or so.

Many manufacturers started to offer a range rental gun program to indoor shooting ranges. As an example, Glock allowed me to buy 10 guns at a extremely cheap price for range use. The contract stated that at the end of one year, I was required to return them to Glock, they would refurbish them and return them to me. I could then sell them and buy another 10 Glocks for the range usage.

If you want to know how durable a firearm is, ask a indoor shooting range owner. They can tell you which guns hold up and which ones don't.

From my experience, Beretta Model 92's were the worst. Followed by Colt revolvers. The 92's would break locking lugs about every 2-3 months. The Colt revolvers got out of time quickly and started spitting lead.

Many of my opinions today are based on rental gun experience. I used to have a collection of guns that were broken beyond repair. Semi-auto slides that were cracked, on and on.

I also had another gun collection that consisted of blown up guns. Can't tell you how many times guys started to reload and double charged a case, blew the top strap and cylinder off the gun. Or, just the opposite, they forgot to charge a case and had a squib. Followed by a good round, bulging the barrel. One time, a guy came out with 6 bullets stuck in his barrel, LOL. His saving grace is that the gun was a Smith & Wesson Model 28, big N Frame. His ammo was light 38 special. I couldn't believe the gun stayed together.

Most of the guys here would probably hate me if I started to talk about the Glock. Lots of stories, mostly not good. So, I won't talk about it.

Springfield 9mm 1911 about 15K rounds and rising rapidly - replaced recoil spring once.

Not "tick marking every round fired", just know how many rounds shot each visit and how many times I visit the range annually. Simple math.

First G17 GEN2 that I got issued , now has about 20000 + rounds . I replaced a broken extractor at about 17000 , changed all the small parts a couple of times, replaced magazine followers once, replace recoil spring every few thousand rounds and make sure all my 17rd mags have fresh springs in them ( I order all the stuff from Glock and Wolff Gusprings. You can get everything You need to maintain Your Glock mags from them)

Nice gun . Still shoots good.

Not simple when you have more than 20 handguns.

I have more than 20 myself, still simple in my mind.

Who counts? I shoot too much to either bother or care.
                            Some I have none.
                            Some I have "some".
                            Some a crapload.
                            Some a huge crapload.

Approx 15k out of my Sig SP2022 9mm. No replacement parts, plastic guide rod is getting chewed up and could be replaced but I will run it till it fails. It's my go to range gun.

I should be pretty close to 50,000 rounds on an early Sig P229. Zero parts repaired or replaced (beyond the Hogue grips I installed when it was new.)
