Seriously though, highest round count is a rimfire (Sig 1911-22), and highest centerfire round count is my Nighthawk Talon with just a tad over 2K rounds. I try to spread the love and have others with close to 2K rounds, as well.

I have an M1A I bought in the late 1980's. Its got to have at least 15k rounds thru it. Only problems I ever had were a batch of home-brewed 130 grn HP's I loaded for my Rem 700. Wouldn't properly feed/function in it.

I had a Frankengun 1911 that was a college graduation present from the gunsmith I worked for. In it's configuration while in my possession, a little over 34k rounds, and it was ready for a new barrel and bushing. Stolen before I got around to fitting new barrel.

Currently, I shoot too many guns too little to run high counts. My G26 has just under 2k, my G34 just over.

I have a .22 pistol that probably has 5000+ rounds through it but that's probably common for a rimfire pistol. What center fire pistol do you have that has a large round count down the barrel and what's the count?

My first rifle, a Marlin .22 LR, probably has tens of thousands of rounds though it, and looks like new. My first new pistol was an S&W Model 539. That one has many thousands though it, perhaps over ten. I just don't know. I don't put a mark in a notebook every time I pull the trigger. It makes me wonder if it's really possible for a normal person to wear out a modern gun by shooting it.

My M-1A with 1,744 rounds. All my other guns have a lot less round count. Several guns are still new in the box. I am kind of lazy I guess. When I wanted to shoot, I just use the guns in my office armory.

I have a Glock 22 I picked up as an agency buy back gun. It was pretty shot out when I bought it, I.e recoil spring, slide stop spring, firing pin spring all worn out and the locking block pin was broken. I've out about 10000 rounds through it since that time and have replaced all of those parts again minus the locking block pin.

Got a custom Colt 1911 that I used to compete with that has well over 100,000 rounds. I've done some repairs. Slide cracked and had to weld it up. Barrel link broke off, replaced and fitted new barrel, bushing, etc. Due to trigger job, the hammer eventually started following the slide down. Replaced hammer and sear and preformed new trigger job. Gun needs to be refinished since it's been in and out of holster countless times. It goes without saying, I've replaced springs many many times.

I expect to do some repairs when shooting that much ammo through it. Just like my Chevy Tahoe. It's approaching 250,000 miles. I've put some money in it for the parts that wear out. I certainly don't expect any equipment to never wear out.
