When I was in the market to buy my first handgun, the dealer suggested a CZ. Prior to this, I never heard of CZ. However, the first time I held it in my hand, I knew it was the one for me. Luckily, they had one for rent and after firing 5 rounds, I was sold. Did the paperwork and been using it any chance I get. I had my BIL try it out a few months ago and after he finished his turn, he had this look on his face like, "what the heck is this gun and why haven't I been using it?" Literally the best bang for your buck.

Do you really mean you shoot 500,000 rounds a year? Eric Grauffel shoots between 100,000 and 150,000 rounds a year. Read about it here:

Its nice that I can shoot on my property so I shoot more than the average person.

The first time I heard about CZ was from Top Shot. They used it either on session 1 or 2. After Colby introduced it, I knew I gonna get one.

I've owned several Sigs, Ruger, love my DW Valor, tried Glock and eventually bought a G30 Gen 4. I shot all of them well but CZ has the best geometry and holding them just feels the most natural to me.

If only we could have know then what we know now. I bought my Browning Hi Power for $425 in 1991 from Traders now they sell for 3 times that

I'm glad I based my decision to buy a CZ-75 before they became popular on basics of what makes a pistol a good gun. Now people are beginning to say they would like Canik55 guns, based on what they look like. Having a Canik TP-9, I don't think they are good guns, but I think the Sarsilmaz guns from Turkey are currently in the same place the CZ was in the early 1990's.
Some people will think the Sarsilmaz is junk because of their lower price, but they are good guns, as anyone who's owned and shot one will know. Maybe in 10 years when more people have experience with Sarsilmaz, word will get out and their popularity and prices will go up, just like the CZs.

I like the CZs. They're very ergonomic and easy to shoot with accuracy.

I just pulled my CZ75 BD POLICE out of the safe and realized its not on roster anymore and I couldn't find one online. I think the value just went up. Lol

They have the regular 75bd but not the police model. IIRC, the police has the serrated trigger, loaded chamber indicator, lanyard loop, and checkered front and backstrap. I don't remember if there was anything else.

But I didn't realize how bad CA is getting. I guess I'm unsafe now. Lol



On a side note (response to an earlier post): The Canik TP9 SF is an outstanding firearm. Best polymer pistol trigger I've squeezed. On par with far more expensive pistols./threadjack

Agree. Especially the SP-01 and the TS. Don't buy these CZs. They are not Glocks.
