      Indubitably.
So much that the prices rose up for them

I don't know what happened but I think it started about 5 years ago... my buddy bought a CZ75 it was kind of a sleeper brand back then. Only people who really knew guns knew the brand. Not so much anymore.

Cos still aren't well known outside of calguns from my experience. Love everything about them.

Yes popularity is starting to skyrocket, which is why I got in as soon as I found one, because I'm sure prices will continue to rise. Picking up my 75 P-01 on Monday. If you read any reviews of the best 9mm guns, the SP-01 and P-01 will most likely always be at the top of the list, along with the likes of Walther PPQ and Beretta 92FS.

They are quite hard to find, partly because of their increasing popularity, but also because they are released in limited batches. They generally don't sit on the store shelves very long. They are metal frame (at least the 9mm models I mentioned are) and built to last, especially the P-01. You should read the tests it had to endure to be NATO certified. They abused the crap out of it, dropped it in mud and sand and water, froze it, heated it, and it still fired flawlessly.

Not to mention they look sexy.

I held my first CZ back in 1991 and that was all it took for me. A buddy of mine had a CZ 75 pre B he got from his dad and let me check it out. I wanted one ever since now I have about 15(no pre B's though).I have noticed a lot more people buying them, the word is out about how good they are.

Some people just don't know about CZ's.

Heck I told a friend about Sig, he said he thought they were a cheaper company for firearms

I for one am glad they weren't as well known when I first started getting into guns, 'cuz I like cariety, and if I had tried CZ's early on I may have missed out on Sig, Ruger, S&W's, Beretta, etc. (Only kinda' kidding)

On the plus side, I'd have a bunch of CZ right now.

I've had an SP-01 for a few years, and just picked up a P-01 (haven't even shot it yet) and will definitely be adding more.

I own two and love 'em. I see a lot of chatter about CZs on CalGuns, but I still don't see many at the range.

CZ's are well known through out the US and people are buying them. Outside the US, they are more popular than Glocks in some countries. You'll find CZ-75s in every country that allows civilian ownership of handguns.

OP, you should have bought a CZ in the early 1990s. I remember coming home from Desert Storm and some "expert" at SF Gun Exchange panning the CZ as a piece of Eastern European junk. Then there were the guys in Traders who knew almost nothing about the gun, but had negative opinions. You could have bought a CZ-75 for under $300 out the door.
