I've done all mine with one exception inside the store. Tell the gun store its a PPT and they hadn't inspected it yet. Its all good!

Don't forget a consignment gun has to sit on the shelf for 30 days before the dealer can sell it.

Yup ^ This. Needs to be considered if the seller is needing the cash fast. Also, it will need to finish DROS, and sometimes run to the next payables cycle for the store (another week or two), before the store will cut a check to the consignee.

Depends on what store you go to. Ive been to ammo bros in cerritos. And they told me have at it with inspecting a rifle at there counter. This made me feel very comfortable with my inspection and the purchase.

Ive also been to 2 different turners that said no inspection or money exchange inside the store which left me crouching down inside my front seat of the car trying to inspect it. sp inspecting and paying outside is not as comfortable as inside for the most part.
