As an alternative, doesn't some company make some sort of "snakeshot" round in common calibers, basically instead of a bullet it has some plastic shot filled projectile? As a solution to snakes I suppose, besides just walking around the slithery things I mean.==================

Yes sir I use some of those CCI shot shells in some of my pistols/revolvers and yes they do work. But for rattlesnakes nothing works better than a load of #6 out of any .410 it just ruins their day.Comment

Yes sir, I try to operate on several levels. To me logical is good just as the KISS method or makes sense to me method. Maybe that's one of my problems, once in a while I like to "get outside of the box" and look at things to. I'll have to work on those things.Your having a hard time with it because you expect logic or expertise to actually account for something. This is not the case when legislator's or political appointee's make laws or regulations about something they know absolutely nothing about. As is the case in California/Washington D.C. more often than not.Comment

I did not read anyone elses response but IIRC, in 2012 you were able to own a Taurus Judge in CA if you were able to do the following:Just curious, was the Taurus Judge .45 Colt .410 ever legal in California. I've been reading up on some of the pistols/revolvers that are not legal to own in California and this one is very interesting to me in that BATF classifies it as a revolver and California classifies it as a shotgun.

1. Start up a Firearms Trust.
2. Pay your BATF tax stamp (I think)
3. Place the order for the Judge and it HAS to have a foregrip on it.
4. Wait your xx months (6 months I think).
The firearms trust gets around the penal code of allowing an ENTITY to own a firearm, but not an individual, the Foregrip (vertical foregrip) I thought changed the status to an AOW, which is not illegal, but I think no individual can own one. I can be wrong at this point. I am trying to think back to what the issues were in getting one and this is what I seem to recall being able to do.
Basically you will have a mini street sweeper but without the stock.
I think the cost was around $1800 and 6 months of waiting and you will have a gun that is cool, but not THAT cool. Also, I think the foregrip might need to stay on.
Please check my statement or talk with a firearms attorney or maybe even OCA in regards to doing this. They might have changed the law in regards to Firearms trusts a year or two ago based on cases like this.
Here is my opinion, get a circuit judge, it is a revolver/rifle that shoots the same caliber. I saw them at the Shootist on the wall for sale last year I believe. They might still be around for purchase. Personally speaking though, buying a Desert Eagle in 44 mag is way cooler and costs about the same or is cheaper.
Good luck have fun and conduct your due diligence before going down that route.7 Billion people on the planet. They aint ALL gonna astronauts. Some will get hit by trains...

Only the rifled-bore version. The smooth-bored version is a 'shotgun with a revolving cylinder', an illegal 'assault weapon' per PC 30515 (a)(8).ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
