I buy Sellier & Bellot pretty much exclusively. Cost effective and have never had a single FTF or FTE.

+1 on S&B. It is packaged nice and tight (small boxes taking up less room to store), shoots clean, and are nice warm loads. Inexpensive and reliable.

I have ran all of the 9mm brands mentioned here and I go with Freedom Munitions. Can't beat the price and have fired several thousand rounds without any issues. I usually always pickup a couple boxes of ammo at Walmart just because I'm there, and the ZQI is what I prefer in 9 that they stock. Its a bit hotter than some of the other stuff and acts more like my SD rounds.

I don't reload & don't usually buy in bulk. I like Federal aluminum case. It's cheap, runs well in my SIG & isn't very dirty. I can usually get boxes of 50 at Walmart for a little under $10/box

I'm going to add my vote for Freedom Munitions. I've had good luck with both their reman and new stuff.

I think that if you boil the answers down it comes down to do you want brass, steel or aluminum cases and then get whatever is cheap to use as range ammo. I tend to favor brass and then what ever is cheapest. I have ammo from SG (my Favorite), Freedom (also good), PSA and Target. The only misfire that I have ever had in a pistol was with Remington UMC in a 40 SW. Never had one with 9 mm. When I buy reloads, I buy factory reloads, never an issue even with LAX.

Yet another shout out for Freedom Munitions. The price differential between "reman" (used brass) and "new" (new brass) is minimal, but as my gun doesn't seem to care, I usually buy the reman and save a couple of cents. My gun likes the Federal aluminum quite well too - when I can pick that up at Mall Wart. I'd ***-U-ME that the Blazer aluminum would be similar as my gun likes Blazer brass well enough too.

Wait until Freedom has a free shipping promotion...

Herter's uses tight, tiny boxes too (Herter's Select made by S&B). Cartridges are still nicely stored in a plastic rack too. It does make it easy to take more ammo to the range in one bag.

Cabela's has both Herter's Select 115 grain and S&B 115 grain for $13.99 right now but the S&B is sold out but back orderable. I bet both varieties are identical, but I have never compared the two in the same range session. I have had the most experience with the S&B AR-15 ammo, rather than S&B branded pistol calibers. Recently though, I have shot a lot of the Herter's brand S&B manufactured 9mm 115's and I like it.

federal aluminum seems to work really well in all my guns. it's cheap & never had a problem after shooting more than 1,000+ rounds.

it's super cheap, but walmart usually has it out of stock. i buy it when i can
