It's always good to make them better before breaking them in. Said nobody.

Nice looking pistol. Needs a scope and radar ranger.

It might be the small frame of the gun that you will need getting used to. Sites on mine have been top notch, but getting used to a compact 1911 took some getting used to

Yea Colossians you are definitely right. I have some big hands and I was struggling to get my standard grip. I love the gun , I had a lot of people asking about it. I'm just going to have to do some work with it

My night sights lasted one range session before I took some model paint to the rear dots. They were just distracting from getting quick sight alignment.

I'll eventually replace the rear sight with a 10-8, all black, rear blade

I think I am going to end up painting the back sight black.

I have a nice holster for my CW9 from Gary Betz. Some of the nicest handmade leather work I've seen to date.

The undercut is quite helpful as well. If you plan on keeping the gun, this mod is indispensable!

My only question is if I violated my warranty having my gun smith work on it and cut the barrel down a little. He never messed with the extractor though.

I've had my EMP for at least a couple of years. I had to polish the feed ramp for

positive JHP feeding. It started to double fire so it went back to Springfield.

They adjusted the spring and no more problems after that. Turn around time was less than two weeks.

I bet I have a thousand rounds through mine with no additional problems.

You should avoid bullets with large hollow points as they can hang up on the feed ramp.

Flat points and round nose are a ok. I find a too tight of grip leads to low left target hits.

I tend to loosen the bottom finger hold to get higher on the target.

Springfield will take care of any problems that you may encounter at no charge.

Bummer that your extractor broke. Send it home they will make it right,

At least I happened early on. Just picked mine up about 10/days ago and straight to the range. 150 rounds without an issue, couldn't shoot it as well as my G26 though but I'm sure I'll figure it out. When I striped it, low and behold the ejector was pinned. Sending it back anyway for Trijicon HD's, undercut and front strap checkering.

I'll agree with the undercut trigger guard. I have a high relief cut on my 1911 and it just feels different than any other 1911 that hasn't had it undercut, but in a really good way. Every time I shoot a 1911 without it, it feels weird now.
