I've never heard issues like this , what they have to do with work.Mine worked out without verification from work.

What about paychecks from work , does it has the company name or even direct deposit from the company, ask the sheriff if they can take a statement shows a direct deposit from the company.

the sheriff sends out letters to the employer basically telling them your applying for a ccw and verifys that you work there and ask a few questions like are they good moral character, do you feel comfortable with them having a gun, theres like 4-5 questions I think. so basically if they said nope, id be screwed. The best part is I work at a gun store selling guns, so if they don't feel comfortable with me having a gun, why do they let me sell them... lol

Some issuing authorities require an employer verification/notification requirement. Other, like mine, don't require this.

My IA used to want written statements from your employer but now they just need proof you work there... For example employer ID

Hmmm, I'm not sure I'd want my employer to read such a letter. What if he's anti-gun? If he fears people who want to carry a gun everywhere, he may find a reason to terminate employment.

I've always been careful in the workplace about who I discuss my hobby with - not always a good idea.
