That actually brings up an interesting point. As the weather cools do you change caliber. Interestingly enough the .45 ACP is less effective against heavy clothing than either the 9mm or .40 S&W per the FBI tests. Because of its lower starting velocity and mass.

Reviewing the Lucky Gunner test of 117 carry rounds and calibers this was independently verified. Do you change calibers, do you change rounds?

The link that GlockNRoll posted is well worth the time to review. The testing protocol was well defined, and Lucky Gunner did a great job of putting out multiple layers of data.

Good to find out if your chosen round performed as well as it's peers, or as well as you thought it should.

Exactly. If you carry all the time, sometimes you have to remove your coat or jacket. No change for me. Pocket carry or IWB with an untucked shirt -- winter, spring, summer, or fall.

Even those who use IWB's, including "tucked holsters", cover the weapon with a shirt and must move a shirt or outer cover garment out of the way when drawing.

The untucked/square cut hem shirt seems to be the most common choice for comfort, access and concealment.

Hawaiian, guayabera, polo, tee shirts, etc., being the most typical as they are generally worn loosely to obscure a gun's tendency to print.

Jackets can and are worn (over these shirts) to further break up the print in cold weather where they are not out of place like the obvious vest worn in warm weather.

With the appropriate shirt/holster, jackets can be readily removed as needed.

I also occasionally wear a concealment jacket which contains a hidden pocket/holster when comfort and concealment are at odds ...
