My status just changed to "Assigned to Processor / Processing Order". I'm at about 65 days in so it looks like they're catching up on the backlog.

          Excellent to hear!

First I've heard of Crosshairs. I'll have to do some looking and reading.

I see G4 Firearms doing frequent classes with something like 8 or 10 people in most of them, and I guess he's got a private range they do the shooting portion at just outside of Rosa?

I'm a member at URPC and was going to take the CCW class up there in Ukiah.
Does anybody know the prices of the various classes? If I can find a cheaper class here I could save myself the one hour drive each way.

The class at URPC is taught by Ray Higbee and I believe now with another gentleman. It's $100 plus an additional $10 per additional firearm you want to qualify with.

Note: This was the price June of last year. Doubt it has increased.

You are not going to get anything cheaper than the UGC prices.

Does Ray's class qualify for UT or AZ?

                    Thanks dgc357. Appreciate that.

Update: I got an email from Lt. Salas Saturday requesting additional documentation and attached that to my Permitium application.
                    Fingers crossed.

Curious, what added information did they need. If you can say.

It should be the three letters of reference. And class certificate

It's regarding a misdemeanor conviction I have from 23 years ago. They have my three letters and all other documentation. I even attached jpegs of my NV and Utah CCW's, and jpegs of my URPC and NRA membership cards, plus copies of proof of residence. I basically gave them everything I could up front to try to streamline the process.
I'm not yet to the point of preliminary approval so no class certificate is required yet. This was my first contact from SCSO since applying.

I also added all my info right off the bat. I had a dui 25 years ago but I added that into my info this time. I was denied when we had the few weeks window a few years ago.

I’m at 49 days and counting.

I think UT requires a UT qualified instructor, and I don't know if Higby is certified or not. I don't think AZ cares, as long as you have a class certificate of some sort. Maybe someone who knows more than me can chime in....

I am applying for my AZ but I'm not going to bother with UT, even though its recommended to have both in case a law or reciprocity changes. Ill let you know how it works out.

I originally qualified for my UT in Nevada. Ever since then renewals are as simple as filling out a form and sending in $15. I can't wait to move out of this state. Two more years after the kid graduates from high school...
