Just picked up my renewal today. Really nice card compared to my last one Submitted renewal around July 1 with the new cost increase back then but they actually updated it and I received a good refund (around 200+).

My timeline for my recent CCW renewal:

9/21/2024 complete training (previously 6 month prior was allowed - that has changed to only 3 months prior)
9/25/2024 receive training certificate
10/16/2024 apply for renewal online - won't let me - must wait until within 90 days, not "at least 90 days"
11/18/2024 apply for renewal online
1/30/2025 receive approval notice via email, text, and robocall - schedule pickup
2/5/2025 picked up new card license and new CCW Information / Guidelines printout

Cost to renew:

$300 renewal training (8 hour - 4 range, 4 class)
$100 range ammo 250+50+50+50
$219.30 renewal application fee

FYI the current cost for a NEW license would be: $865.25 + $500 + $100

Updated costs from the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office website effective July 1, 2025:

$963.00 for new license plus the cost of a 16 hour class

$280.00 for renewal (every 2 years) plus the cost of an 8 hour class

This is obviously way too high for an enumerated right but it's the current state of things.

Mine took a little over the 90 days. Maybe 100-110 days. So there are some days you'll not have a valid CCW.
