I renewed in August and reused the same GC. You may want to download the newest application though as it may have been revised in the last 2 years.

I'm up for renewal and noticed three lines under "Section 3: Description of Weapons". Did anyone renew with 3 firearms? I quickly skimmed the new application, but couldn't find anything.

            Thanks

The application is the standard DOJ form. (I believe the form even says to use a separate sheet if additional spaces are required). It is still Solano County's policy to limit only 2 guns, or at least it still was as of August.

                That makes sense. Thanks, clcolin81!

Hey guys, I have a question. Maybe this is something I should ask Kelly about, but I thought I'd get opinions from the peanut gallery first. My wife is going to apply for her CCW (I've had mine about a year now) and one of the questions on the form is "have you ever been involved in an incident involving firearms?" Here's the back-story. My wife was living in Pennsylvania after college and the guy she was renting from decided that she was stealing his grape juice (or something like that) so he came into her room with a pistol and held her at gunpoint ranting about his juice and that she needed to leave (but wouldn't let her). When he left for a minute, she called the cops and eventually they showed up and made sure she could get out with all her stuff safely. There was a report filed, the guy spent a few hours in jail (apparently, he was rich and connected).

Would this be considered an incident with a firearm, or are they specifically looking for YOU being the one with the gun?

Anybody know before I bug Kellie about this?

                  Thanks,

                  Dodd

Just my opinion; I would say it does qualify as an incident involving a firearm so i would mention it in the app if it asks. I don't think this would count against her how you described it. It could be used as one of her good cause statements. Might just help her in her LTC. Good luck and let us know what happens.

                      I would say no.

I would say no for this reason: If everybody that had a gun pointed at them had to report that as an incident, most of us in the military would have a much longer application form!

However, I would definitely ask Kellie and please let us know what she says...

                            This one is easy

The answer is YES. There was a report taken therefore a record of the incident.
