How does everyone carry the large laminated card?

i folded mine in half and keep it in my pocket. It doesn?t fit in the wallet i have and I already lost it on my second day of having it (ended up finding it after a few days) so I?m extra cognitive about where it is on my person whenever i?m moving around.

Going on to my 3rd month for Live Scan ? patiently waiting lol.

I have notice that people posting their timeline, live scan is only taking a month or so. Anyone know if there are delays or is it just the amount of people applying thats causing delays.

Have my interview scheduled for next week. My reasons for obtaining a ccw is for self-protection since I travel a lot and go out on jogs or walks early in the morning at 5 am. I have also had individuals try to follow me home from work. I also bring high amounts of cash deposits to the bank usually 5 to 20k sometime on my way home from work. I am not sure if its worth it mention that though since I'm not applying for specially for work purposes and will not be bring a letter from my company for that reason. Do you guys think that will be enough of a reason for solano county?

Ever since the Supreme Court Bruen decision, your reason for wanting to carry is irrelevant. They will issue you a ccw as long as your background is clean.

It?s always taken from 6-12 months from start to finish. Renewals can take 2-3 months.

For anyone wondering how backed up they are, my renewal took 79 days from submitting my application, to "ready for pickup" email.

Did you follow up at all?

I emailed the Deputy who handles CCW to let him know I was moving (and so as not to have them waste time on my when they cold be processing someone else. He told me to wait till I got the notification/pickup and THEN return the permit since I have moved.

Let the games begin. I just uploaded my documentation to add a second gun to my CCW. I'll post updates here.

CCW Picked up on 5-17-23

Solano County is now issuing a card with your photo on it and it fits nicely in your blllfold. I have a Ridge Wallet and it slides nicely into the wallet with no issues. They also provide you with a 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper that has a County Seal on it. I will keep this folded up in my locked glove compartment with my other important documents.
