The Solano Sheriff site for CCW leads you to the application tracker. That’s not something you need until you actually apply.

The ”Start” Page provides background for submissions. It includes this:
Prior to Filling Out This Application

-Be prepared to scan a copy of your valid California Driver’s license or California Identification card, which reflects your current Solano County address.
-Be prepared to scan copies of two (2) current and consecutive utility bills/statements that are in your name and reflect your current address in Solano County. If you do not have utility bills in your name, residency documentation provided must be a monthly recurring bill. Mortgage statements and annual bills are NOT accepted. Past due bills/statements are NOT accepted.
-Be sure that each firearm you plan on listing on your Concealed Carry Weapon license is on record in the state of California in your name or your spouse’s name.
Based on that, it would appear that, as soon as you have documentation of residence, you can apply.

Excellent question. Residency in the county, not Vallejo, is the hurdle.

Thank you all for the replies. As for me living in solano county that is a negative. I used to live in alameda county.

I grew up in the 510
          Moved to 925 for awhile
          Now growing old in 707...
There are a few things I can't stand about Vallejo.
But overall I like it here better than the other countries I lived in

            Interview

I have my interview 1/5, are they still doing them by phone? Also, do they send a reminder or do I just wait by the phone?

Anyone know the average time from training to picking up the license? I completed training in mid October and I'm still waiting to hear back from them. No luck emailing them or getting anyone on the phone.

I just use my normal tri fold leather wallet, fold card in half trim excess edges and then put in corner of cash slot since I don5 carry cash in my wallet.

I suggest after folding it put your lawyer card and if you have a self protection keep your card with your ccw.
My wife also has self protection insurance and a lawyer card.
If anything happens she can act quickly.

Have any of you attended the Vallejo NRA Members Council monthly meetings (2nd Tues each month). If so, are they doing any sort of organized outreach to the Solano County community, especially its shooting community, to inform them about CCWs and that the sheriff is readily issuing them as to increase the total number of CCWs issued (helping ensure that Sheriff Ferrara or his successor does not go back to restrictive issuance)?
