April 12th interview and still in the dark over 2 months later. So.... when should I submit my renewal application? 3 months from the original interview.

After market accessories should not be an issue. It is up to the vendors to ensure that your firearm is safe to use, and we highly recommended optics on the pistols if your firearm is compatible with one.

What's the point of using Permitium if they don't use it to its fullest extent to help with tracking application progress?

I wish I knew what 'order' or strategy they are using. There are people stuck in various steps of the process. Each step started to take progressively longer and longer to wait. Currently stuck in the longest stage now (over a month)... and I see people in this thread who are stuck in a super early stage as well.

Crickets since. Calls go unanswered to a full voicemail. Emails dont get a response. I, too, fear it was missed or filed away w/o being looked at.

After paying fees, I was emailed that they would reach out to me for a pickup appointment within the next 2 weeks.

Grats! Looks like we?ll be waiting for our appointment within the next 2 weeks.

Looks like those who are doing CCW renewals are also bundled with everyone else trying to apply too. Wouldn?t surprise me that it?s adding onto the backlog for the sheriff in charge to process.

Only thing I?ve heard is CCW Unit is a one man show processing everyone?s applications. Supposedly there are 500 applications currently being processed, but no exact timeline on the priority of specific applications or how it?s broken up. I?ve been told by sheriffs to just wait patiently until a new update pops up.

Psych Evals seem to be bottlenecked from other counties and agencies utilizing LEPS too.

Been crickets for me after my interview on April 15. Almost three months, and still no email invite to schedule the Psych Eval. (Interview went well.)

Sadly it seems like they're still making their way through the people who interviewed on April 12th. I was lucky to get one of the early spots for that day, and I'm assuming that's why my application is going relatively quickly. Unfortunately, with 160 people interviewed on that day, it might be awhile until they make it to the people who interviewed on the 15th.

WOW!, that's the fastest turnaround CCW approval listed on this forum besides the "Pay to Play" folks. While others are at 90 days or close to, it's crickets in the night for many. I wonder if they do a random pick and throw the others to the side?

My interview was on April 15. I emailed the Psych Eval company, they said I'm not on their list.

Been trying to get Santa Clara County Sheriff to look into this for me, but they respond to 1 out of every 10 emails I've sent them over the past 12 months.

I was told 2 max when I interviewed on 4/15, but didn?t pay too much attention because I only planned on carrying 1 at the time. Sounds like it was updated or I was given incorrect info

With all of the April interviewers still not getting updates, it feels like I will be waiting for quite some time since my interview was on 5/18

Regarding pythonfan?s question above, I asked the Assistant Sheriff about modifications during the interview: all CA legal modifications are okay for SCSO?s CCW

Additional info: we are limited to only 2 firearms max on our CCW
