Geeze! I am just about to start the process. this is going to be a long process

I am curious and sorry if it was asked, for the 16-hour course how many hours is in classroom and how many at the range? Is the ratio the same for the online portion like saber tactics?

does this affect people in the process?

"...the regulations remove NRA Certified Instructors as eligible to teach qualifying concealed carry classes in the state moving forward."

Does the approved list of instructors on SCCS website change at all?

Most likely yes. I spoke with one instructor that said he will probably have to cancel his January course because of this.

I hope it is seamless and doesn't end up impacting the current training providers. Fingers crossed for you as well.

I'm still waiting for approval to sign up for training.

              Picked up my permit today!

Did my training with Saber Tactics and it was really nice to be able to do a lot of it online over a week or so.
Guys are really nice and were very flexible .

I believe Saber Tactics is also POST certified, so won't be affected by the removal of NRA certified instructors if you take the training with them.

In an attempt to calm my anger over this latest end run around my 2A rights I am wondering if instructors who qualify under this change are known? Can we see what companies are currently offering courses under the new rules?

At this point, you will need to do your own research (About Us or certifications) or SCCSO will need to revise their list of approved vendors.

Are you talking about Tidwell? I was trying to get into his 12/9-12/10 class, but I waited too long and it filled up. His next class isn't until mid-January

I decided to go with Saber Tactics, but they are also full until late-Jan at this point.

In a effort to stop Bonta that removes NRA CCW instructors as trainers.

Subject: The Proposed Text of the emergency regulation and the Finding of Emergency

I'm in opposition to SB2, as the bill would eliminate certified NRA CCW instructors. NRA CCW instructors have been a foundation for gun safety and training for decades. This emergency regulation would impede CCW training and ultimately deny CCW permits.

                      Regards,

ASP and Bay Area Tactical Group are unaffected by the SB2 amendment that screws NRA instructors.

I only verified with the 2 vendors I listed. You should call and ask.

Bay Area Tactical Group does not indicate they can do Santa Clara Sheriff?s CCW classes yet. I hope that changes soon.
