Yal. Live scan results are complete.

Am I supposed to wait for a call or email from the IA?

    Would appreciate some input.

    Thanks in advanced.

Just a heads up i applied 1 month and a half ago and a background detective called me and was asking me for information. I asked him about them being backed up for a year and he told me they are caught up and you should expect 2-3 months wait. SO APPLY!!!!!!

He shook my hand and off I went.

A few minutes later I passed a table for Central Valley Demorats. They were endorsing Pat Withrow for Sherriff. Research is needed. I am right now listening to an interview he gave on the radio. He says he made Moore flip on his CCW stance.

For those that have received their permit recently, are they valid for one or two years from issue date?

Another random question. Can a CCW holder have their firearm in a locked container in their vehicle on school grounds? Eg. Construction company that does work on school property

No. Guns prohibited on school property means guns prohibited on school property.

That’s not true. You can have an unloaded handgun in a locked container or trunk and it’s legal on school property.

                      a) This section shall be known, and may be cited, as the Gun-Free School Zone Act of 1995.

                      (b) Any person who possesses a firearm in a place that the person knows, or reasonably should know, is a school zone, as defined in paragraph (4) of subdivision (e), shall be punished as specified in subdivision (f).

                      (c) Subdivision (b) does not apply to the possession of a firearm under any of the following circumstances:

                      (1) Within a place of residence or place of business or on private property, if the place of residence, place of business, or private property is not part of the school grounds and the possession of the firearm is otherwise lawful.

                      (2) When the firearm is an unloaded pistol, revolver, or other firearm capable of being concealed on the person and is in a locked container or within the locked trunk of a motor vehicle.

This section does not prohibit or limit the otherwise lawful transportation of any other firearm, other than a pistol, revolver, or other firearm capable of being concealed on the person, in accordance with state law.

Welp, it will be interesting to see how the new county sheriff Withrow will change things, regarding CCW!

Electing a democrat to control our ccw's, what could go wrong?

It will be interesting if our existing permits will become invalid when the new sheriff takes office.
Will we all have to pay for new application fees to get the new sheriffs signature on our permits?

I believe they are good until expired or revoked. I am up for renewal in a couple months.
