My renewal was approved in about 30 days. Sure beats the heck out of a year.

I recently relocated to Calaveras County. I am happy to report that it took only 6 weeks from application to pick up of permit. It's almost like I've moved to free America!

                  Re: Permit modification.
I picked up my new Sig on 5/9.
                  Took certification class on 5/15.
Went to Professional Standards on 5/16, paid the $10 fee.
Was called back[email] on 5/24 saying it was ready, made appointment for 5/30.
Will pick up modified permit on 5/30.

Like backpacker57's modification process stated upthread, it was quick and painless.

I'm in the process of signing up for insurance and the form is asking for the CCW license number. The only two numbers I see on the license is "ORI" and "CCI". Which one is the "license number"?

The Cll is your license number. The ORl is the issuing agency number.

                            I am a Ventura county

CCW holder and I am moving back up to the San Joaquin valley. Is there a specific process to transfer it to SJ county? My doesn't expire until 2019. Or will I have to start as a new applicant?

Even if you are licensed in a different county, I believe that you have to start over and re-apply in San Joaquin county, once you move there. Sorry man.
