I have two SSE weapons on my permit. They are pretty generous on what they allow.

Does anyone know if you cannot submit your renewal until December 31st will SJC still take the 4 hr CCW course even if it's before Jan 1st?

Does anyone have any insight on how long it takes between submitting the application to add a gun to your permit and getting an appointment for pickup?

Are you modifying your permit to add/change guns? Can can't speak for the now timeframe, but my mod was quite quick back in June of this year.

Submitted on 6/2, approved on 6/9 and pickup on 6/13.

Yes, I simply want to add the 3rd gun to the permit. It?s been 10 days since I submitted and crickets.

Everyone who has a CCW in California, take heed. SB2 is back in force as a result of a Federal Appeals judge overruling an earlier district judge's ruling and now allowing the law to take effect until the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals can decide on the constitutionality of the law.

Just posting a quick renewal timeline in case anyone is going through the renewal process.

Submitted renewal paperwork online on 12/8/23
Got Robocall, email and SMS approval notification on 12/30/23 (Saturday AM)
Scheduled pickup right after receiving approval notification for 1/4/24 (Today)

I was a bit concerned because I submitted my renewal app 30 days before my permit expiration (instead of the 90 days prior) because of a late year gun purchase.

I heard nothing from SJSO and didn't see any Permitium updates until I received the Robocall notification for approval. I was expecting a call from one of the investigators in the CCW unit to go over the renewal app, but I guess they aren't doing that.

I see it was struck down again.

                        SB2 Enforcement Blocked Again

Thankfully, the enforcement of SB2's restrictions on where you can concealed carry has again been blocked. https://thereload.com/gun-carry-lawf...k-into-effect/

So after a 30 day wait, and having them tell me that add-ons were lower priority than first time issues and renewals (makes sense). But now today I get this email.

                          How is this even possible?

Because DOJ system is all jacked up and probably isn't updated yet. I don't know that for fact but I'm just assuming since their system constantly messing up with the ammo background checks....my buddy who is a Fed LEO came back as prohibited for an ammo purchase last year. I came back as a prohibited person when I was on my CCW initial and I know damn well I'm not prohibited. Then a week later got an "oopsie" email from SJSO saying it was a case of mistaken identity. Sucks that you are going though it though...hopefully it resolves soon.

Yes? Finally. Even with the whole DOJ DROS situation. Even got the new Credit Card type permit which must be carried with the laminated card!

Hey all, Reno posted a video regarding people who added p365 on carry license.
