    If it were me I would consider a second slide with the rmr, that way you can swap then back and forth.
    That's what I did for one of my two ccw pistols with an rmr

      (3) The course shall include live-fire shooting exercises on a firing range and shall include a demonstration by the applicant of safe handling of, and shooting proficiency with, each firearm that the applicant is applying to be licensed to carry.
      [...]
      (d) For license renewal applicants, the course of training may be any course acceptable to the licensing authority, shall be no less than four hours, and shall satisfy the requirements of paragraphs (2) and (3) of subdivision (a).

        No they have not. All renewals are required to qualify with all firearms listed on their San Bernardino County issued CCW'S.

                Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

                      Are you able to use a different slide than the one you qualify with? What about same frame, different caliber? I'm guessing the latter is really pushing it.

                        You have to carry it in the caliber that is listed in the CA data base.

                              The Penal Code requires qualifying. The department has belatedly implemented it.
