Bumped for an Update:
Just got my new license in the mail. It only took 11 days from the renewal class. Those gals/guys are really working their bottoms of to keep up with the demand.

Hopefully the weather straightens out for your day. If it was like my range day, it was miserably hot. Take lots of water/drinks and lunch. Have fun!

How long did you wait between the interview date and call for range day?

So on my renewal.

Expires July 1st.
Paperwork at the Sheriff's Office in San Bernardino April 5th or 5th.
Range day to change a pistol, May 1st.
Renewal class in Rancho Cucamonga. MAY 14th.

New permit recieved May 30th.


New permit effective July 2nd.


Downside:


Old man has to remember to swap old permit and new permit on morning of July 2nd!


Challenge accepted.

Upside: Electronic calendar on phone has an excellent memory...make an appointment.

I just slid my new license under my old license. But I actually believe that just carrying the new card would be fine. It's an "issue" date, not an "effective" date. But I have OCD when it comes to this stuff, so for now, carrying both.

I did that as soon as I got the new CCW, before I forgot to do it.

Besides OCD, my memory sucks, so I will probably have both in my wallet for at least a year.
