I don't know about y'all but I plan on carrying until I see a sign at the establishment prohibiting it.

The sheriff in the ccw class told us to ignore those signs unless it's a government building.

Actually they say it's a request, not a law. You can either oblige or not. Yet if you dont and Its private property, you can Be asked to leave.

                    Bingo.

Other (free states) the signs do carry force of law, though they do have specifications on where and how the sign is displayed, and whether or not (generally, yes) the PC needs to be printed.

In California, it is simply the same as any private property.
If you are asked to leave and don't, they can have you charged with trespassing. Will likely not bade well for your renewal.

In Missouri it is similar, but if an officer has to respond, you automatically get a suspension for the balance of the year. 2nd incident results in revocation for the balance of the 3 year term of the permit.

Signs DO carry force of law in AZ and NM.

I'm not saying I saw a comment on the little sign at the line to have your bags searched that might of said No Firearms. There was a crowd standing if front of it.

Hi all, I should've looked around the site before i post my question in the ccw discussion. I'm in SB and my first renewal is coming up in about 7 months. I was wondering if I need to go through the whole process again or do I just need to fill out the doj form and submit the fees? Thanks

Yep I already printed that out, I wanted to know if i need to go through the waiting process again, sheriff interview, background check, range time etc. again . Or do I just need to submit the doj form, pay the fees and get the renewal taken care of that day.

There will be another interview and 4-hour class.
So far, nobody has reported a repeat of the neighborhood or employment check, they probably still run the standard background check to be sure nothing came up that you didn't report and that they were not notified of, but it's not the 6 month process of the original application.

Range time is only needed if you are changing the gun(s) on your permit.

My renewal is coming up soon. So the refresher is now offered in Rancho as well as Central Headquarters? That would be great as I live in RC. Thanks.
