Just called the Automated number (916-227-4557) to check the status on my livescan. Not in the system. I guess it didn't get transmitted before the freeze? So That means once the freeze is over, 60-90 days past that, I guess. Unless it's done and sent back already?

Be sure to read this morning Op Ed by the Bee today decrying Jones' policy on issuing, and that it's costing taxpayers around $200k a year out of Sac County's $3.6b budget. 0.01% of the budget.

The editors suggest that money could be used elsewhere. They suggest a Spanish speaking psychologist or housing for the homeless.

I can't post it due to the paywall. http://www.sacbee.com/opinion/editor...e81014202.html

"We do not feel safer now that one in every 135 Sacramento County residents had a concealed-carry permit. And we certainly don't believe taxpayers should pay for the gun owners' privilege."

What a joke. This isn't about you, sacbee. I don't care if you're scared. Your views shouldn't affect the way I choose to be prepared. These hit pieces on Jones are starting to get comical. What about the money we spend on illegals? On criminals? On the homeless? On redundant and useless firearms laws?

Direct contact with the office now is important for you.

    Good luck.
Thanks The site wasnt working for me at first but got an appointment for 7/21. Should be GTG.

    Those are the odds.

But, in the real world, they can't say "yes", if you don't ask.

Poor odds on adding guns (you're replacing what was lost, right?)
