Seems there are no address modification appointments available until August. Anyone have any insight into that? Always been a plethora of them in the past. I would assume it's just the ripple effect from the budget thing...

Soooo my question is, what's a guy to do if he's moving?

Same with my initial. I never received the Email and I had to call to find out. I had my livescan at the end of May so I think I'll start calling around September to check.

We are at the end of the month. In the past, they've populated the calendar two months out at the end of month. Sep should be coming up in the next 48 hours or so.

    Good hunting.

Also check sooner dates to catch cancellations.

    Good luck.

My license expires in September. Emailed Amber (their web site says Step 1 in the renewal is to make an appointment - there are no appointments available between now and when my license expires). She said to go check - there should be appointments in August. So far there are none. SO - I'm back to playing "web site appointment Bingo" (any of you remember the days when you might wait a year to submit an application unless you constantly rechecked the web site for a cancellation?) I hope they will hook me up if it gets close and no appointments have been available!

Am waiting on livescan, five to six months now according to Sac Sheriff Office. Now a process which could take as long as nine months becomes MY tax burden.
McCarty can bite my shinny metal bucket!

Their plan has always been if they can't get rid of something they will tax it out of existence.

And that is exactly what he has planned for concealed carry permits. Even though AB 450 once dealt with the Streets and Highway Code yesterday, its sole focus now is on denying Californians the right to self defense.

AB 450 forces sheriffs and police chiefs to raise CCW fees — not only for the cost of issuance, but “sufficient to cover the reasonable costs of issuing and enforcement of the license.”

Whatever “enforcement of the license” means to them!"
But we just keep electing these people. It's past time to educate your friends and neighbors.

Democratic supervisor, GOP sheriff clash on concealed weapons funding

"Serna wanted to direct about $250,000 away from the sheriff’s budget to pay for Birth and Beyond Family Resource Centers, which provides home visitation and counseling for pregnant women and parents with children up to age 17. That amount is roughly what it costs the county to administer concealed weapons permits after fees from permit holders."

“As far as the charge of political motivation, I somewhat resent that,” [Supervisor Kennedy] said. “I just want to go on the record as saying politics plays no role in what I just did.”
