Sign in and move through the prompts to Renew (auto-selected) and then to the calendars
There are two (2) "Next" Buttons, and they will screw you up because they do different things.

Use the "Next" button AT THE TOP OF THE CALENDAR to go forward to Dec and you can see the Green Dates.
Click on the Green date; it'll turn Yellow(that says, "Yellow")
Use the "Next" button AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE to go to the display of appointments for that date.
Select one.
Get your Confirmation
Print it.
Log out.
Smile.

Hey so, have my renewal appointment date slated for the 1st of next month. I have all my documentation at the ready. Will they issue my card to me that day? Hadn't stumbled across that step in the instructions. Also, I don't recall any mention to complete a live scan finger printing again.

Edit 10/15/16... Found an appointment 2 hours ago for 12/14/16. Interestingly, VisualPing supposedly scanned the page an hour ago but did not report any change to me. Not sure why it didn't work, but at least I'm in the process. On a related note, assuming Scott Jones wins the Congressional race [and you know what they say about assumptions], how soon would the interim appointee take office and exert influence over the existing shall issue policy in Sacramento County? I don't see any successor as avidly pro carry as Scott Jones.

I just started the process today by completing my portion of the application, but when I went to schedule the initial interview the SCSD website said no appointments available [they only seem to schedule out 60 days]. Advice? Keep trying to schedule daily? Weekly? I suspect things won't get any better any time soon and I realize the entire process may take a few months.

That is what they want to see ..

Any reason weather its from bears in the backcountry or thugs in a parking lot it boils down to protecting one self and family.

The rest is just a colorfull way of stating it.

Personally I think they want it streamlined so they can process them as quickly as they can. Doesnt mean you get your notice faster but could mabey they can process more apps in a day than is every one wrote a 5 page disertation.

I used for defence of self and family, when I had apoiment the person that checked me is look at my proof of resadence and asked me specifically if my letter said " for self defence "

I'm from another county. FYI. from date of Live Scan to issuance was 4 months 16 days.
