I have mine on 4/1. I think someone has theirs on 3/31 and they said they will update us on how it goes. If not, I will let everyone know how it goes after my interview.

Does anybody know where I can do a live scan? I had my appointment set up for the 18th and it got canceled the day before. Then I was told I could schedule for March 30, so I did and it was canceled yesterday. My investigator, Jeff, advised me to stick to the recommend livescan from the list. This is the last thing I have to do!

Yes, I have a Springfield hellcat. But keep in mind, the gun has be legally transferred to you. If you obtained guns out of state because you were a resident there, you have to submit a form to the cadoj and declare your weapons.

Go straight to the Sheriff's department website and submit your application. You'll get a pick of an interview date in within the next few weeks.

The next few weeks? Try next few months. I just signed up and the first day available was May 22.

I applied on 3/19 and the original appt I chose was 5/15. It was the soonest one available. Yesterday I checked again and one opened up for 4/6, so I rescheduled for that. Just keep checking daily. [emoji1687]

The least expensive is the one taught at Ben Clark $100. The others when I called around were in the $200 range. The list it's on the Riv Co Sheriff website if you want to do a more detailed search.

Some are over $200 and limit you to 3 firearms only.

I did mine at the Riverside Indoor Range (not Magnum), it was $100 and they allowed 6 firearms.

I enjoyed the class, a couple of the staff are retired RSO Deputies from the CCW unit.
That was cool because they addressed some of the BS/FUD information that circulates.

Be advised that if you bring 6 firearms, you will probably be the last to qualify.
It wasn't a problem, they just want to clear out the folks with 1 or 2 first.

                              Then said He unto them...
"and he that hath no 1911 designed by my servant John Moses Browning,
let him sell his garment and buy one."
And they said, "Lord, behold, here are two Glocks."
And He said unto them, "Meh, it's a good start."

                              Luke 22:36-38 (somewhat paraphrased)
