    Colors??

I think the shade of green is just fine.

But more importantly, I think our time in this forum can be better utilized helping members achieve their CCW goals rather than debating color shades on some internet graphic.

Since both of you seem quite knowledgable, I'd really like your opinions. I know Riverside doesn't use SD=CG but would you say their policy is "relaxed" or "resonable"?

I would agree that the map is accurate in that Riverside County does looks for 'Reasonable' Good Cause. They are certainly not against CCW holders, they just have a large population seeking the license and have limited resources to tackle all the applications.

Having spent 19 months going through the process I woulr personally agree they are looking for reasonable good cause on why you are asking for a license to carry a concealed and loaded firearm, which to the mass population in the county and in the state is illegal to do (without a permit/license).

Yep, that shade of green is about right. You will need to put a GC together that gives the RCSO something to hang their hat on. You certainly will not get away with personal protection or self defense as a GC like they want on San Bernardino County. But Sheriff Sniff is pro-2A and is a shooter himself. Also, the CCW unit staff like to see more people with CCWs. Now....if only they could double down on the staffing in there and get the wait time down to a reasonable level.

I think a number of us that have are playing the waiting game on our appointments have kept hoping that Riverside County would add a person or two and speed up the backlog. There have been qualified volunteers who have applied to help and been turned away because they limit the staff that handle this process to paid employees. With the recent budget announcements and the threatened closing of stations I imagine the wait time is not going to get any better.

You just may be right. I also wonder if the more CCW's they bring into the system the more time it takes just for renewals alone. Eventually if help isn't brought in won't the wait for new applicant just get longer and longer?

WHOA! I had heard in my San Bernardino CCW class that RSO was booking 2019... sorry to hear that. I hope they can solve this issue.

I don’t see the issue being solved, It is really the job of the state to step in and deal with the situation but as long as the county knows they won’t they don’t have any incentive to do better.

Go past the main building, turn right at the stop sign, all the trailers are on your left. You can see the numbers from the road, parking is on the right.
