This may sound like a dumb question but is the Sheriff's firearm questionnaire still required to be brought to the interview ? (Not the 12 page DOJ application) I don't see any mention of it in the email I received when I originally signed up online and scheduled my appointment and I also don't see any mention of it on my online CCW profile page.

No. I took it all just in case but all they wanted to see when i got there was my driver's license. You also don't need a good cause letter anymore but my interviewer said it doesn't hurt to have one. But you can also submit that on their website. I also took a print out of crime data in the area I live which she personally scanned in to the system.

          I had my interview: 10-10-19
          live scan: 10-22-19
          class/qualification: 11-2-19
Now i'm waiting for live scan results to come back. Im getting worried that something is not right, but I have nothing on my record.

This may or may not be the case but I've had my livescan rejected by the DOJ years ago for a different back ground check (not for CCW) due to "poor print quality" (My fingers were very sweaty and my livescan operator seem inexperienced). What ended up happening was I recieved a letter from the DOJ in the mail asking that I resubmit my livescan. After I resubmitted it was approved in about a week.

You can check the status of your livescan here. Mine passed in under 24 hours.

I dont remember exactly what mine said, but it was along the lines of 3 sections. Something like
                    "Federal - Cleared
                    FBI - Cleared
                    DOJ- Cleared"

If it says no record, I would think it means you entered information incorrectly, it was never inputted by the office, or maybe it has been complete for too long, and it was removed from the status check system. I'd email the CCW unit to verify they have received the results. I dont see why it would take this long if you submitted 10/22.

EDIT: I found my ATI number and checked from my scan in January '19. Says "CA- Completed, FBI- Completed, Firearms- Completed 1/11/19." My ATI number has zeros and Os, make sure they arent being mixed up maybe.

Has anyone added a weapon to their license through Ben Clark Training Facility recently?

Is it still the first Thursday of the month?
I believe it's $100 - do they take personal checks or still only money orders?
Do you just show up at the range?
                        What time?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Best bet is to call up the office to find out for sure.

I don't think its the full $100 for the add-a-weapon qual. If it is, find any range listed on the approved qualification ranges and do it there. I did mine at the Riverside Magnum Range and it was $30, I only added one gun, but I think it's a flat $30. I was in and out of the range in less than 10 minutes.

If you go to the RSO CCW Website and click on the Green Online Application Process button it will show all the fees. a modification like adding or deleting a firearm is a cost of $10. I did this about two months ago when adding a firearm. As far as I know its never been $100. Hope this helps.
