I agree. My preference is to carry my Sig P320 as a compact 40. That's what I listed on my application. I didn't even list it on my application as a 9mm. What I'm wondering is if the fact that the caliber on my application doesn't match the caliber on the DROS will cause them to reject that firearm. If so, I can revert to the 9mm and train with it, as well as my Glock 27. We shall see.

We never went to court but there was a judgment where I agreed to the payment plan. I attend to be honest and disclose this.

Besides that my record is clean, no traffic violations, nothing criminal or drug related.

Does anyone have any experience if this diminishes my chances to obtain a canceled license or is the sheriff more concerns about more sever violations?

      Thankful for any insight!

Do not even think twice about it..... I have a girlfriend. A girl who is a friend before someone asks. She works in PSD, she has about 18 years on and is taking the corporate route now. In previous discussions something like this might hurt chances of being hired as a Deputy but not a CCW since it seems you have taken care of it properly.

Maybe it could hurt or help depending on how they look at it...... If you have some real credit issues and you have to borrow a $100 from Marv because American Express really does have hit-man looking for you.

PROPS to those who got it with out the the help of Google.

Amendment timeline to add a pistol for those who are patiently waiting:
11/9/20 application, 1/28/21 payment, 1/30/21 received card in mailbox

Anyone have any recent renewal timeline information?

            My permit expires 3/22.

I submitted a renewal packet 12/22, and submitted my training cert 1/5/21.

I selected "pay at counter", because the last time I checked, the website still says to do it that way.

Anyone recently renew and have info re turnaround times?

My first renewal was submitted right at 90 days and I was without a permit for several weeks.

I applied first week of Nov and received my approval last week. I expired 1/31 so it was pretty close. I applied at 90-day mark rather than 120 since I moved in Nov.

Between mid December to mid January I was checking twice a day, once in the morning and evening, to try to move up my Interview date. Past few weeks I stopped worrying about it.

Still no luck, but hey it's February already.

+1, it doesn't seem like there are many openings to move earlier from my experience. I didn't see any at all checking over that same time period, and have pretty much given up on the idea of moving up.

If the only reasons for earlier spots opening up are people withdrawing applications (changed their minds, moving out of the county, etc.) it doesn't seem there would be too many.

Has anyone had experience coming in contact with LEO while carrying and what was the LEO's reaction when you disclosed you were CCW and armed?

As of now, you don't need to disclose in Kommiefornyastan. I'm not sure I would.

I don't have time now to look it up, but are you saying every county is different? If I get pulled over in, say, Orange County I'm required to let the LEO know but if I'm in Riverside County I don't? That's ludicrous.

I think he's saying your issuing agency has their guidelines and no matter where you are in the state you're expected to follow them.
