Hello everyone , I have been watching this thread from the sidelines for a while now, I received my proceed with fire arms training and can only get to doing it this Sunday. May 8th. I am reading that after submitting the fire arms training certificate it takes roughly 4 weeks for the pick up call for the permit. In 4 weeks sherif Alex will be up for re-election, if he is not re-elected will I still be issued my permit this far in the process ? Any replies and info would be great !! Thanks In advance

Do it ASAP my friend. If you can. Once you receive the email for training, you are good to go. 2-4 weeks to pickup after you complete the training and send them the docs.

I already did my training long ago, I just wanted to add my 3rd gun and the place where I did it can only accommodate me on Sunday , if I go some where else I would have to redo the full 8hrs, I know if I go to Burbank I can maybe get it done tomorrow , should I wait till Sunday or just go to Burbank tomorrow and do the full 8hrs ? I already did my training long ago, I just wanted to add my 3rd gun and the place where I did it can only accommodate me on Sunday , if I go some where else I would have to redo the full 8hrs, I know if I go to Burbank I can maybe get it done tomorrow , should I wait till Sunday or just go to Burbank tomorrow and do the full 8hrs ? yes im being patient with the whole process. I had my interview back in feb and was instructed by the deputy to do my live scan right away. Its been 4 weeks since it cleared so i was just trying to see what the time frame is at this moment. Every case is different and handled different with each deputy who reviews it.

I would call the place that you did the training and ask them if you can add. I'm pretty sure it will be easy because you alreay did the training. My pleasure!

He wants me to come and qualify at the range on Sunday for my 3rd gun , he said it’s an extra $75. At this point I might just go to Burbank tomorrow and lock it all out for $170 or something like that
