To sum up, Villaneuva states they will never go to Shall Issue. He believes that would be a hazard to LE. He believes it would put guns in the hands of bad guys and takes away a tool to arrest them (carrying a gun).

He also states that he is against gun grabbing but wishes "weapons of war" like an AR15 would stop being manufactured. If you already own one, fine, but believes they need to stop being made. SWAT uses mp5s and snipers use HK 91s NOT AR15s, which he believes should stop being manufactured.

Villanueva believes a shotgun is the best gun for home defense.

The interviewers stated the LE they have spoken to in shall issue states like Arizona said they feel SAFER knowing law abiding citizens have CCW. Villanueva says the LE he has spoken to has the complete opposite narrative of that and they feel unsafer with citizens with shall-issue CCW.

That kind of exposes his CCW issuing requirements relaxation more as an election plot (in my opinion) than his belief in 2nd Amendment

Called re pass on about 11/19
picked up CCW on 11/23/21, day before Thanksgiving.

I think I got lucky. The only thing I called about was to follow up after mailing the application to find out if they received it/status of interview. I got the call re interview within a week of that follow up call.
