When I did San Bernardino in 2016 it cost me $500 and a 13 month wait for a two year permit. I was grateful for the Sheriff's willingness to grant me my right to protect myself but man this is an infringement. It just maddens me to read stories like these. I'm glad AV is issuing, that was a distant pipe dream for you LA guys back in 2016/17 but still, this should be a 2 week process and a $100 bill. Truth is we shouldn't need a permit and I am glad our governor here feels the same.

Hang in there, if it's bad news then apply again and shore up that GC and get some meat behind it. I'm not saying to be dishonest, but you know what... everyone has felt at one time or another that they would have felt safer if they were armed.

Not getting a CCW from LACO is not the end of the world. My buddies moved to the other county border line got their CCWs from Orange and Ventura Cos.

Next is a long wait! While you wait, you'll want to answer every single phone call you get. So far it looks like it's an unknown or blocked number that calls you, but I'm sure we're all answering even the ones that say spam risk just in case.

Also, start gathering up a utility bill (internet, gas, water, power) and any other documents they need, as well as evidence of your good cause. The more the better. You certainly have time.
