Are there enough people participating in this thread that no one getting a call on any given day means anything? Could be many are getting calls, but don't post on CalGuns.

Apparently calling you idiots is irrational.

CGN is a very small # percentage of people who are applying to the CCW program.

Usually if we're getting reports back of interview calls it's normally a good sign that LASD is firing off calls.

Strange we haven't see any action this week or last. Not even pick up calls.

Next week must be a big week since we've had a slow two weeks.


It's alright brothers, it'll be another week for the 3rd week of April applicants, idiots.

Hey guys! I see a lot of people posting on here about their experience with the CCW process and decided to give it a go. I submitted my application back on 4/1, got a phone call from a restricted number on 6/23, had my interview on 6/28.

I am a business owner and carry cash and private confidential information from my clients such as ssn and etc. The interview was really quick and lasted about 10 minutes. I forgot to bring copies of my requested documents and just brought in the documents itself. The investigator seemed a bit mad about that.

He continued to go through yes/no questions. I did answer yes when he had asked me if I had ever smoked marijuana. I went ahead and explained my answer and told him that I am not a frequent user and it was 6 months ago. He told me that 'that may be a concern" which freaked me out a bit. After a few minutes of talking he said "alright, that's it."

He did not give me a livescan form and told me to wait on the livescan until I hear back from them. I asked him how long will it take to hear back and he replied a few weeks. I'm still optimistic and very positive and I hope that everything will go smooth.

That may be an issue if you have owned firearms prior to that.

Also, since you weren’t told to go ahead with your livescam after the interview, then it seems like it’s a red flag.

Hopefully it goes smooth and you don’t get a letter.

Yeah, 6 months ago. I didn't think it was that big of an issue and after seeing people getting an okay to do the livescan that did make me question the process.

Sounds like your interview didn't go too well. I am curious if you not receiving the livescan form immediately, like most posted here, is a red flag for denial.
