Application received 7/1/2021, permit picked up 9/21/2022. Given that my GC was a business related high risk, I even got robbed at knifepoint during the process (of waiting), I almost feels lucky I survived to tell the story. I really hope the newcomers won’t have to wait so long.

I'm glad you're okay after that ordeal..and congratulations on getting your permit...apply for your Arizona, Utah and Florida permits if possible, if you travel out of state, if you haven't done so already...there's no national repricosity as of yet..get as much national coverage as you can..

What city do you reside? Trying to see if there's any correlation with those who live in a city with their own PD vs. those who are serviced by LASD.

I actually got really lucky and applied to LASD before the whole August 1, 2022 change. But I live in Torrance.

Oh OK that's helpful info. So LASD will continue processing applications they've started instead of trying to dump them off to the local PDs to finish.

07/26/2022 UPDATE :

4/15/22 - CA Completed
4/15/22 - FBI Completed
7/22/22 - Firearms Completed

09/22/2022 UPDATE :

09/19/22 - Received email to proceed with training

Deputy that interviewed me was one of those involved in the scandal... so anyway i have a request to do an address change and I tried changing it to my business mailing address, and they didn't approve that,,, so i need to do another address change to my personal residence and then they will let me go to training ( i assume)
