Flakes, does the female deputy's last name start with an H?Comment

I wonder how many gatekeeper deputies are in the CCW office and if there are certain ones that are favorable and others that are not. KFlakes response from the deputy that interviewed him was exactly the same that I heard from her.Comment

My call was about 3 weeks ago and I was denied.Comment

I'm hopeful though that as the process moves along and it is realized that there won't be blood in the streets that the sheriff my decide to loosen it up more. This is what seems to have happened in surrounding counties.Comment

Heres something new. I went to the lasd ccw website to see what vendors they use for the ccw class. It was a PDF but now links to the CA DOJ fire arm training website. very interesting.
Effective January 1, 2015, all Firearm Safety Certificate (FSC) Program DOJ Certified Instructor applicants are required to have a valid Certificate of Eligibility (COE) and must obtain a COE prior to applying to become a FSC Program DOJ Certified Instructor. The Certificate of Eligibility instructions and application are available at Certificate of Eligibility. Please note that COEs must be renewed annually. The COE processing time is approximately 4 – 8 weeks.Comment

I'm beginning to think now that it might loosen up a good amount in a couple of months. People need to keep the pressure on the sheriff.Comment

Looks like this will be the interview.Originally posted by dearjohn013Hi,
I have a question. I submitted my CCW application to LASD about a month ago and they cashed my check about a week ago. Today, I got a call from from blocked number and was told to come in to go over my GC.
Deputy asked me to bring some documents to our meeting.
Is this the interview? Or is there another one after?
But I thought they were holding interviews over the phone. Are you meeting with him at their administrative buildings for LASD?Comment

If you haven’t reviewed my Contra Costa County advice thread pinned/stickied at the top of this forum you need to. At minimum read all my posts in it.Originally posted by dearjohn013I was told to bring extra doc like passport, driver license, utilities, etc to office.
I’m still waiting for the location but it wasn’t at DTLA.Last edited by Paladin; 10-05-2020, 4:19 PM.Comment

Yes this is THEEEE interview. It will either be in montery park or at star center in whitter. Mine was at Star Center. You don't need a suit and tie although a couple have. Bring as much documentation backing up your good cause as possible such as business records, court case documents etc. You may not need it but its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. The deputy is nice and will ask you a bunch of questions including questions not on the application like, if you have been fired from a job, if you had law enforcement call to your home, if you have ever been searched by law enforcement etc etc. Its NOT a stressful situation at all. If you have any questions feel free to message me. I can help the best I can. Just don't ask me all the questions they asked because I only remembered a few from the sheet containing about 15-20 of them.Originally posted by dearjohn013Hi,
