My view is we do need to vote for the absolute most solid pro CCW candidate. And that means blinders on for everything else. Which is of course asking a lot. It's not my nature and I'm sure not anyone's here to have blinders on. However, it would be too easy to lose ground with the wrong Sheriff and give up years of great progress. Of course campaign promises are worth little but sometimes that's all we have. At least we can look at consistency of message with Meyers. If it's a close election?... CCW holders could be the key.

The representative on the phone told me they have till 90 days maximum to approve. They also said it may take a little longer if they can’t verify citations like speeding tickets but not to worry about the dates it will not affect your approval. Mine took about 98 days as well.

Funny things is after day 93 or so I stopped checking my emails for the approval/denial. Then voila get a random text from a 323 area code number saying approved. Lol

San Diego County CCW 90 Day Wait

Following my interview, I am roughly about half way through the 90 day wait period.

Is this period fixed at 90 days? Or when space becomes available, could SDSO complete their background investigations earlier than that 90 day mark?

No rush, just curious if its a window that must pass in its entirety, or if its a 'soft' window to allow them adequate and ample background investigation time.

    Thanks everyone!

-EDIT: If I was posted in the wrong section, my apologies, please move me to the correct sub-forum!

I think the recent change to mailing permits rather than in person pickup has worked well.

Looks like you're in the same boat as my family member. He's been bugging me because I told him mine and friends was under the 90 day mark. I figure the holidays and COVID has added to that processing time.

I’m currently at day 94 as well. My interview date was also 11/22/2021. Permitium still says processing order.
