    Ya. That?s how it was explained to me. I was instructed to imagine if my attacker was already on top of me, possibly being held back with my weak hand. However, I didn?t have hold out my weak hand to hold off the imaginary attacker, likely for safety.

    Same here, and then no more.

    Made sense, I'm sure it was based on some self defense shootings there isn't time or even distance to use sights.

    I did my initial and requal at Poway Weapons and Gear; the CCW class qualifies as being able to practice drawing and firing from a holster on their range.

    The instructor said he only needed to observe safe handling and draw of one of the guns on my permit, not every weapon being added to my permit. (though qualified with 4 guns). The rest of the guns, I was able to demonstrate handling and firing from the bench.

    ya i did that in my initial qualification too. kinda weird. didn’t do it my renewal qualification a few months back.
