Jump onto the system and see if it lets you change things. And I wouldn't think adding a gun would cause a delay given that the scrutiny and testing of firearms really happens in the CCW class.

No dice, I logged onto that permitium.com thing and there's nowhere that let's you edit your application. You can upload files such as a utility bill or such but it does not let you go onto the actual application itself to try to edit its content.

Thank you for pointing that out but unfortunately, no way to do it. I'll just wait and see what happens and if they contact me in regards to it, will just kindly give them what it was supposed to say.

Have you tried uploading GC as attachment in addition to typing in the space provided? I did this.

I had to update my GC statement and I was told to upload the document. When I was in for my interview, we reviewed the entire application together and the clerk crossed out my old GC and wrote “refer to attachment”

What everybody else said. Just create a new GC statement reformatted as necessary and upload to Permitium. For the doc type just use requested documentation or other.

Hi all- I have my appointment coming up this Tuesday, 3/30. They told me I don't need to bring anything with me (no paperwork, etc.)

Does anyone know what the next steps here look like? It seems like some have suggested that the process may have changed a bit recently.

Seems to have changed. I had to bring in everything I submitted to Permitium. Be prepared for your picture and LiveScan. When I went last summer the girls behind the glass were VERY helpful; IIRC I dealt with Jessica.



Make sure you list every pistol you may or maybe might carry. It's easier to list them (and qualify) all now, than to have to qualify and have them added later. It's easier now that there is no limit on how many firearms that can be on your permit.

It's a very simple and quick appointment. I think I was there a total of 15 minutes. I took all my paperwork with me , but the clerk did not ask for it.

After your appointment, the waiting game begins.

Without sounding too crabby about it I have noticed there can be quite a discrepancy between what one clerk says and another does. I would say bring every single thing with you. If they ask for something, you will be glad you had it, and if not, there is absolutely no downside.

Thanks everyone- I appreciate the feedback. The woman who emailed me DEFINITELY told me not to bring anything. I double checked...

I will print out my application and bring my license and passport just in case. An extra 10 mins on my end to be safe... thanks all for the warning.

I plan on *trying* to purchase a ruger LCP II but right now my only ccw-friendly firearm is a Springfield XD9 subcompact.

Do you all think I should list the gun just-in-case, even though I don’t have one yet? Also- I know this isn’t the right post, but any suggestions on a tiny California complaint subcompact (maybe in .380 since my XD is 9mm) would be very welcomed.
