Can't log in

OK, this needs some amplification.

You cannot post if you have not logged in. Therefore, since you DID successfully post, you managed to log in some how.

What are the different circumstances?

Here's something I have noticed:

Quite a few people, since the migration, are getting a question mark instead of an apostrophe when they type a contraction such as can't or won't, it posts as can?t or won?t.

Far, far too often for it to be an individual problem with an individual keyboard.

Here's a few examples from random threads:

Let?s just say if CA were to somehow break off and slide down the continental shelf, you better buy property and move ASAP to any mountain higher than 15000 feet..

It?s been my experience that the only people who still care about Afghanistan are the ones who fought there. Everyone else just kind of forgot, just like the they did while we were over there.

The state can?t get any Pentobarbital for injections so I think this is a great solution moving forward.

I show as logged-in only on certain pages.

The home page shows me as not-logged-in. Weird.

Wasn't gonna mention it, since I know bugs are being worked out - but it's a good featurethat I miss.

Second this. Been wondering why emails seemed light the past few days, the last notification I received was at 2050 on 02/28.

I wonder how many of us that do NOT sign out but "sign in by browser cookie" have not had sign in issues?

Not being in the work force I seldom sign out of certain sites, Calguns being one of them.

When the transfer occurred I opened my browser, clicked on Calguns and was still signed as usual.

I know many must sign out, but just curious if one does not need to sign out if they will remained signed in on return to the site.

Tells me I am not logged in on main page. Once I open a topic, it shows me logged in. I can't get to off topic unless open a topic click my name, go to my activity, click the last post I made in off topic, then click the off topic discussion lounge.

Back to doing this.

Special characters such as ena (n with a tilde) are not always displayed properly either: ?
My 30+ years of IT experience tells me this is a Unicode or UTF-8 mapping problem of some sort. PM me if you want a deeper explanation.

I kind of just experienced the same thing. Logged in, saw the "welcome MKT" message, but when I am on the main page it shows I am not logged in. However, once I go to a sub-forum, or this link, it reflects that I am logged in which last log in date shown.

Maybe this is just a hiccup which will clear up but in the mean time it is very confusing. I even tried hitting the password reset thinking I had forgotten my password...hope that doesn't effect anything too...

Very minor issue...

I noticed just now after posting a comment that it disappeared. If I look though my account and search for my posts I can go to it through the link, but it's gone if I go back to OT and click on the link. First time this has happened.

EDIT: it appeared, but after about 5-10 mins.

Unable to login

Hi,

It seems like I am having issues logging in, trying to access the commercial sales page. Whenever I want to check the attached on the posting, it is asking me to login but despite of filling up the login page with my correct credentials, it's cycling back to the login page and it is prompting me to again input my creds.
