Yeah, from my observation outages don't seem to be correlated to activity, rather time of day. I guess I should take a few days of regular access attempts and thread watching (times of posts and dead zones of activity) and put together a schedule.

Right now, afternoons for two to three hours, seem to work. I also can get in pretty consistently in the wee hours, say from 12am to 3am or so. Absolutes may not be obtainable but there sure seems to be a pattern. Why, I don't know.

I noticed this morning, since the site started working again, that the 'guests' numbers are climbing substantially over recent numbers and logged in members are hovering around recent numbers, or lower. Currently about 18,000 guests and 109 members. The guest numbers have been higher in the past, much higher, but not recently when the site was down much of the day.

Grok says to get rid of the guests, mainly bots and scrapers. That alone would stabilize the site and improve performance.
