    200yd+ ranges?

I am looking to battle-sight zero my Stag 2H/Aimpoint M3 but I need a range that goes out to 200yds. Does anyone know of any facilities in the bay area that have 200yd spots? I have been checking but all I can find are 100yd ranges.

I am willing to do a little driving if I have to.

The upward arc for .223 is 50 yards. Over the top, and back to zero at 200. Worst case scenario is you zero at 50, and should be zero at 200.

Nearest range I know near the bay area are Linden (San Joaquin Rifle Range - 200 yards), and Sacramento Shooting Center (must be member but out to 1000).

National forest/blm land and ranging the distance yourself might be your best bet. Good luck.

            Laguna Seca

The range at Laguna Seca is out to 200yds. with an additional set of (two) gongs (12" steel plates) hung at approx. 300yds. Nice range - I shoot here all the time, beautiful area. Right next to the old Fort Ord, where I took my Basic Training in 1969.
Won't be open for public use during the MotoGP, July 17,18,&19. I'll be at the race anyways.

Fyi, Chabot's 200 yd. is only open Friday's from 10:00am to 12:00pm. After that, if you still want to shoot rifle, you'll have to come back to the regular 50-100 yd. range.

Also note that the 200 yd. range will NOT be open this Friday, 7/11, as the volunteer rangemaster is not available that day.

He will be opening it up the next day to the public, however, Sat., 7/12, from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Again, after that, you can come back to the 100 yd. range, if you wish.

The 200 yd. range is open to the public on the second Saturday morning of each month, provided the volunteer rangemaster can make it, 9:00am-1200pm. Setup starting 8:45am.
